Behavior Counseling

Sometimes behaviors are more than just bad manners. Sometimes things are more serious than polishing up rusty training.

When a pet exhibits aggression, fear, or anxiety, it puts a strain on your relationship. You feel helpless and frustrated. Eventually without help, behaviors worsen and bonds break.

But things don't have to get that bad, and even if they have, bonds can be mended and relationships rebuilt between pet and owner.

One of the hardest things to overcome for both pet and owner is broken trust and lost confidence. We work hard, teaching and motivating both pet and owner to feel safe and confident again. Using positive, motivating, and confidence-building methods, problem behaviors are corrected.

If your pet is exhibiting any form of the the behavior problems listed below, please contact us immediately.

  • Aggression
  • Reactivity
  • Separation Anxiety
  • Fear / Nervousness
  • Compulsive Behaviors
  • Resource Guarding

A free consultation will take place before any training or counseling begins.

Counseling Sessions

Behavior Counseling requires a commitment of both time and dedication. Results don't happen overnight. Practice is required between sessions. If problems occur, the pet's owner should contact us immediately. Behavior Counseling also requires that an owner have the drive and motivation to work hard and in a positive attitude with their pet. This may be challenging at first but we will work hard with you to stay upbeat and get the results you want.

Sessions will average anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. First sessions are usually 2 hours. Following sessions are usually 1 hour and usually take place once or twice a week. Real schedules are developed on an individual, case-by-case basis.

Behavioral Counseling session rates vary. Special rates available for rescue groups and shelters.
