Pet Manners and Obedience

Early Essentials For Puppyhood - SOLD OUT

Chewing! Biting! Jumping! Accidents in the house! Destruction! CHAOS!!!
Say no more! No more chewed couches and pee spots. No more bite marks or messes. No more insanity. Instead, simply enjoy your puppy and watch them pup grow into the well behaved adult companion you look forward to. We’ll cover: basic obedience to get your pup focused and following your direction, problem solving to put an end to accidents, messes, biting and chewing, and problem prevention to ensure your pup grows into an adult dog you can truly enjoy - friendly, calm, and well behaved.
Wednesday class is for puppies up to 5 months of age. Friday class is for adolescent puppies up to 8 months.

On Your Best Behavior - Core Obedience

This class covers basic obedience commands such as sit, down, stay, come and walk on a leash. Your dog will also learn to be focused and attentive on you.
For dogs 5 months old through adult. This class is a series with a set starting date. You must register and pay to reserve your spot.

Polite in Public - Advanced Obedience

When we go out, we would love to have our best friend tag along with us. Now your dog can. Your dog will be a full fledged member of the community, welcome in stores and outside eateries. And if sharing your dog with others to brighten their day and improve their lives interests you, this class also prepares your dog for the various AKC Canine Good Citizen tests (CGC/CGCA/CGCU) and Therapy Dog Testing.

Tricks and Sports

Beyond Manners - Tricks and Foundations for Dog Sports (SOLD OUT)

Whether you want to do tricks with your dog and earn trick dog titles, or try agility, obedience, parkour, freestyle, or any other sport or activity with your dog, there are fundamental foundations skills you need to learn first. This class covers the skills for getting into any new activity or sport with your dog. 
(This class can be taken up to 3 times as new skills and tricks are presented each series.)

Nose Work Class

Sniffy Dogs Welcome! 

Nose Work Class will cover all types of searches for all Nose Work venues. 

Dogs with or without experience are welcome! Special orientation for new dogs who are not yet on Nose Work odors.

Competition Obedience and Rally - Level 1

The purpose of dog sports is to show off the relationship between dog and owner. Nothing encompasses this better than the sports of obedience and rally. Enjoy better obedience, a stronger bond, synchronicity, and more!
This class for for students just entering the sport or competing at level 1/novice.

Behavior Modification Classes

Rowdy Rovers

Is your dog so full of life they cannot control themselves? Do the shoot up like a cannonball at you or strangers? Do they drag you to other dogs to say hi? Do you have to hang on for dear life? Then we've got the class for you. Rowdy Rovers teaches self control and attention to the most excited, dangerously friendly, and out of control dogs. 

(Dogs must be human and dog friendly with no bite history.)

Growly Dog

Does your dog bark, lunge or is afraid of other dogs or people? Does your dog resource guard food, toys, the car, or you? If your dog too friendly? Choking at the end of the leash to get at every dog? Then this class might be for you!
For dogs with mild dog aggression, reactivity, resource guarding, and over-excitability; around adults, children, and/or other dogs. This class teaches owners how to manage their dog's problems while addressing the behavior and working to change it.
REQUIRED: Owner must be able to control dog at all times or bring assistance to help them. Dog and owner must have received a consultation by the instructor, prior to joining class. 
Note that this class is not open enrollment and you can only join when a series begins.

Registration and Payment

TERMS FOR ALL CLASSES:

  • Registration must be done online.
  • Class size is limited. See individual class for details. 
  • All Dogs must be pre-registered for classes. You may not join a class until your registration form and payment are received and confirmed. Class sizes are limited and registration is on a first come, first served basis.
  • Absolutely no refunds will be given under any circumstances.
  • Classes must be started within one (1) month of purchase, or result in forfeiture of the class.
  • There are no makeups or refunds for missed classes. 
  • Please bring the dog's vaccination/titer record with you to the first class.
  • Registration for new students will be confirmed by e-mail.
  • Schedule is subject to change.
  • All class cancellations will be announced via email a minimum of 2 hours prior to class.
