Garden State All Terrier Club Barn Hunt

New to the Barn Hunt or never heard of it before? Barn Hunt is a growing sport honoring traditional terriers used as ratcatchers to rid barns and properties of vermin.

The sport tests a dog's instincts without placing any animals in harm. Come on out and have fun with your dog! Meet old friends and make new ones.

All dogs must be on a secure leash at all times no flexi/retractable leashes please.The sport is open to all dogs, pure or mixed breeds, not just terriers, over six months old.

Only dogs registered can participate but all spectators are welcome!

Come watch as dogs thrust through tunnels, climb stacked haybales, and navigate mazes to find the rat!  Watch their faces light up with glee, hear them scream with delight, see their owners grin with pride ...

This event has a 90 run limit. Premium is available at: www.barnhunt.com/

Library Lecture - "Reading" Your Dog's Body Language

"Reading" Your Dog's Body Language
with Molly Sumner of Kindred Companions LLC

Do you know when your dog is feeling anxious? Sick? Now quite themselves? Ever wish you could know what is on your dog's mind? Dogs communicate via body language and while most people know the basics, dogs are actually very detailed communicators. To the untrained eye, we miss so much of what our dogs are trying to tell us.

Molly Sumner CDBC, CPDT-KSA, CBATI, of Kindred Companions wil teach you the details of canine communication, dispel some myths, and help you better understand your companions in ways you never knew were possible. Because once a dog knows you're listening... they really show you who they are. Molly will bring one of her dogs to demostrate. The program is for "people" only, so please leave your pet at home.

Be your Dog's Best Friend with "Force Free Dog Training: Training
Without Fear, Intimidation or Pain"

Molly Sumner CPDT-KA, CBATI, CWRI, will be speaking and demonstrating a
relatively new method of dog training known as "Force Free Dog Training".
Force Free Training uses scientifically based methods to teach your pet to
understand what you want them to do and how to get the results you're
looking for. The method uses no pain, fear or intimidation. This means that
your dog will love it and love you for it. Learn how to create the bond
you've always wanted with your dog. Molly will cover everything from basic
training, manners, behavioral problems, to dog sports and therapy work.
Please do not bring a dog. For this class Molly will be bringing some of
her own dogs to demonstrate how to use this training at home. Children 12+
are welcome accompanied by an adult.
