Thinking of Getting a Puppy?

Puppies are cute, rambunctious and make us smile. They are also the best opportunity to get your dog started on the right paw, creating the perfect companion for you and your family. They are also a huge responsibility. It is important to acquire your puppy from an appropriate source, most likely a responsible breeder. Second you want to make sure that your puppy grows up liking people and other dogs so socialization is a must and for most dogs, you only have until the puppy is 12-16 weeks to get that done. Then there is the housebreaking and manners training. It sounds overwhelming but it doesn't have to be complicated or stressful. Dr Ian Dunbar's guides to all things puppy related doesn't miss a beat. It's a dog friendly method for teaching your new puppy the rules of the house and it is a must read for all perspective puppy owners.
